I had really understood the idea that a game world can seem alive. Liberty city is a key example, many reviewers played the game and just rabbited on and on about how it felt like it had history and how it feels just like the real world. I had really understood the idea that a game world can seem alive. Liberty city is a key example, many reviewers played the game and just rabbited on and on about how it felt like it had history and how it feels just like the real world. Too me, a game world was just there and couldn't be a living thing and so I never understood the term...Until now.

You see, I just bought Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. Let me put it like this: that game world IS empty and unalive. Yes i know that is set in a warzone and you don't expect to see lots of people, but the world just lackes that certain something.

The game in itself isn't bad, it's a decent game to be honest. I feel the destrucible environments leave something to be desired. It looks amazing the first time you blow up building but when you do it for the second time and the third time, it is the exact same!! Couple that with the worrying fact that a C4 will blow up half a building and you see that the game is... glitched.

The multiplayer is fun but just seems to bring out the worms out of the wood. I seem to just get dropped from the game none stop or its doing somehting it shouldn't, it's just...... glitchy.

The game is good but I would suggest renting it and not buying it. It's so dissapointing...
